Jill Berkowicz

Jill has more than 30 years of experience in education. She has served as both principal and Director of Curriculum. The development of leadership skills in students, teachers, and administrators has been central to her work. 

Jill facilitates training for teachers and leaders in assessment, teacher and principal evaluation processes, and organizational methods for their implementation. She also serves as a reviewer and evaluator for the National School Change Awards, Marist College Portfolios for undergraduate and graduate education graduation requirements, and the New York State Schools to Watch program. 

She authored a chapter on curriculum adaptation and authentic assessment for Why Am I Doing This? by Giselle Martin-Kniep.  Jill also co-authored Looking for a School Librarian? What are the Qualifications? for School Library Monthly, and co-authors a blog for Education Week about challenges and possibilities for administrators in the 21st century.
