Online Course FAQs
Registration is a two-part process. After you’ve purchased a course seat, you receive an email with instructions to complete your enrollment in the class.
Start by visiting http://lciltd.org/products. Click the “Webinars and Courses” tab to find and select your desired course(s). Add the course(s) to the shopping cart and check out.
When the course seat purchase is complete, you will receive an email (“Confirmation/Enrollment process for LCI Online Course”) containing a single-use registration code and instructions for activating your registration. Follow the instructions to be enrolled in the course.
Note that if you enroll in more than one course, you will receive separate emails, each with the registration code for that specific course.
Yes! A purchaser can purchase for a group by selecting the appropriate number of seats when the course is in the shopping cart.
However, the confirmation email with course registration codes is only sent to the purchaser. The purchaser will therefore need to share one unique code with each course participant so s/he can complete registration and be enrolled in the course.
Note that course enrollment is normally capped at 15 people. Contact us if your group is larger than 15, or if you’d like to have a course section organized just for your group.
You can purchase the class on behalf of someone else, but the registration processes should be completed by the class participant.
After the class is purchased, you receive an email (“Confirmation/Enrollment process for LCI Online Course”). This email contains a single-use registration code and instructions for activating the course registration - including setting up the username and password for the online learning platform. This email should be forwarded to the class participant so s/he can complete the enrollment process.
You can also purchase course seats for multiple people, but you will need to distribute the single-use course registration codes to each participant individually.
We accept credit card, P-Card, PayPal or Purchase Order payments.
Credit card, P-Card and PayPal purchases are processed immediately at checkout.
Purchase Order transactions are completed after LCI receives a copy of the PO. PO purchasers receive an email with instructions for submitting this information after they’ve checked out of the shopping cart.
LCI’s courses run on the Moodle platform. A computer with internet access is required.

LCI courses feature weekly lessons based on readings and/or viewings. Students are asked to reflect upon their learning in written discussions with their classmates and via short assignments that are submitted to their facilitator.
Your facilitator will provide feedback on your work throughout the course, via comments on your assignments and discussions. In addition, your facilitator might reach out to you and/or the class with specific questions or prompts based on what’s happening in the virtual classroom. Instructors are always available for questions via email, and some may have scheduled office hours as well.
LCI classes foster interactions with classmates using the discussion forum. You will be asked to post in the discussion forum as part of your assignments, and you will be asked to read and respond to posts from your classmates. The more robust these discussions, the deeper the learning that will take place.
