Reshma Ramkellawan

Consultant

Reshma is an educational professional with over 13 years of experience. She began her career as an English teacher in Florida and New York City. She also worked as a content area and team leader in addition to serving as an assistant principal within a prominent New York City charter network. She now works as an educational consultant with a specialization in curriculum, pedagogy and culturally responsive theories. She has also supported the inclusion of literacy instruction within the Science and Social Studies content areas. 

Reshma earned her Ed.D in English Education from Teachers College Columbia University in 2017. In addition, she holds two Masters degrees; an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction as well as an Ed.M in English Education. Aside from her consulting work, she also teaches at Rutgers University and The City College of New York. Dr. Ramkellawan has recent publications in The English Record and The Educational Forum. Her work was featured at several conferences: American Educational Research Association (AERA), World Educational Research Association (WERA), and National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE).
