Join us on November 24 for an LCI conference on Assessment, held in conjunction with Eastern Suffolk BOCES.
A key challenge for today's educators lies in recognizing, building, implementing and supporting quality assessment in the face of external pressures. Our Assessment Conference was designed with this in mind.
During this full-day conference, we will introduce the vocabulary, background and tools for assessments that produce, as well as measure, learning. Through our interactive sessions, participants will develop strategies for integrating quality assessment into the classroom.
In addition to the keynote Measuring What We Value Most, which provides the framework for the day, participants will learn from the following sessions, choosing one each in the morning and afternoon:
Assessing the Standards for Mathematical Practice
Increasing Student Engagement and Quality Work with Authentic Tasks
Students as Storytellers of Their Own Learning
Integrating the Literacy Shifts in Classroom Assessments
Expanding the Ways in Which We Capture Evidence of Student Learning
Using Feedback to Produce Learning
